I painted this small canvas in the quiet of winter — two pine trunks standing in the foreground while the moon holds its place above the snow-covered peaks, half-drawn behind cloud. For me, nature at its most still is where I find the hope I carry into the work; this night landscape is the kind of moment I want to leave as a legacy of the magical places here.
