Island Evening
I painted this quiet edge of the island — where the trees part just enough to let the evening harbor through — as a place to rest the mind. The warm light settling into the sky, the still water beyond, the small bird pausing on a broken stump: these are the moments of respite I hope to leave behind, a legacy of the magical places here.
