Poppies and Chickens (Bloedel Reserve)
I painted this at the Bloedel Reserve — one of those magical places I want to leave a legacy of, before it changes or I am gone. The path draws you in quietly, the poppies holding their red against the grasses, a few birds lifting into the pale sky above the treeline. I made this as a moment of respite — the hope I find in nature, set down in oil and offered back. Oil on canvas · 7.5 × 7.5 × 1 in · 2025
