A small commercial street on Bainbridge, low buildings, parked cars, a utility pole running up through the composition. Ten inches square. Wallis paints ordinary local architecture with the same attention she gives the Sol Duc, and the utility pole is left in rather than tidied away — the place as it actually looks.
