Silver Point In The Wind, 2024
Wet sand and shallow water in the foreground, worked in long dragged strokes that catch the sky, with a dark headland behind and cumulus building above it. The tide is out and the beach is doing the reflecting. It is her most textured surface — the sand is scraped rather than blended — and the roughness there against the smoothness of the sky is what puts wind in the picture.
