Yellow-Rumped Warbler
A yellow-rumped warbler in profile against soft grey-green, the yellow throat and flank patches picked out and everything else left in wash. The species is the most common warbler of this coast and the one every birder sees first; Walsh paints it with the same attention she gives the rarer subjects.
