Mixed media on salvaged cedar. Cedar plank grain visible in the upper third in warm orange-brown; the lower section stained dark charcoal. Concentric circles: lime green outer ring, cream and white bands, black stippled middle ring, pale center. The two cedar tones — raw above, finished below — are not painted over but left as found: McConnell’s construction background means he reads wood before he marks it. $3,500.
