A wasp nest, whole, mounted on a grey panel with a black disc set behind it so the papery grey mass reads as a moon in front of its own shadow. The nest's construction is entirely visible — the overlapping swirls of chewed wood pulp laid down in bands — and Mann has not altered it. A single dark entrance hole sits low on the right. She has taken an object built by insects and asked it to be a planet.
