Balance
Small and densely built. A pale field of cream and bone carries dozens of small marks — cobalt, oxblood, ochre, viridian — pressed into a thick worked surface, none of them large enough to dominate and none of them arranged into a figure. The title is the method: no single mark is allowed to win. Of Juvonen's abstracts this is the most evenly distributed and the one where the surface relief does most of the work.
