Gathering
A large wasp nest disc mounted on a pale ground within a dark border, its swirls radiating from a small black entrance hole set just off centre. The nest is the most complete and most circular of the ones Mann has used. A gathering is what built it — thousands of individual trips for pulp — and the title lets that sit alongside the human meaning without choosing between them.
