Across these two panels, I've layered worn, weathered surfaces — that frescoed, antiqued ground I return to again and again — then interrupted the quiet with a deep, charged blue and the sudden red of flowering branches twisting through the dark. The white band below holds its own hidden botanicals, a resting place for the eye before the bold modern note pulls you back.
