Mountains in cut blue and slate paper against a pale washed ground, with faint printed text and map fragments showing through the sky. Ferron uses maps as one of her papers, and here they are legible as surface rather than hidden. The ranges are stacked in flat overlapping planes, each one lighter than the last, so distance is made by cutting rather than by blending.
