Oil on canvas — impasto. Sunflowers in cadmium yellow and golden ochre — dark brown centers, thick impasto applied petal by petal. Some blooms drop; the title is literal. Behind: sage green and olive in loose gestural strokes. The paint surface is heavily worked throughout. An entry point into Currier’s studio practice — the same hand that paints the Skagit Valley at $7,500. Oil on canvas.
