Tabby and Yellow Dog
A tabby cat and a long yellow dog lie together across three and a half feet of collaged and painted paper, with blue and violet panels behind and printed fragments running through everything. The two animals overlap but do not touch. Le Van's wild subjects are grizzlies; these are the domestic counterpart, and she gives them exactly the same flat frontal treatment.
