The Devil’s Sun
Ink on paper: hundreds of small looping cells drawn in dense concentric rings, packing tighter toward the centre until the middle goes almost solid black. Every loop is drawn by hand. It is the same structure as her wasp nests translated into line — Mann has spent enough time with those objects to be able to draw one from the inside out. The title supplies the menace; the drawing is patient.
