Words On A Line
Circles, rectangles, arcs and hooks in cobalt, cadmium and oxblood are strung across a pale worked field, roughly along a horizontal, at intervals that feel measured rather than scattered. Nothing resolves into a letter and the arrangement is unmistakably syntactic — the title is describing the structure, not naming a metaphor. Juvonen keeps the ground thin and lets the marks sit on it cleanly, which is the opposite of how he builds Pool Side.
