Arc of Peace
A single figure stands with both arms raised, and between the hands arcs a line of butterflies in green, scarlet and cobalt. The body is Acott's usual — legs impossibly long and thin, torso short, head small — so almost the whole height of the piece is the distance the arms had to travel to get up there. The butterflies are patinated in real colour against warm bronze, the only chroma in the work. The arc is not held; it is released and still there.
