Conversation With Myself

Lorri Acott

A tall figure bends deeply forward to look at a much smaller one standing at its feet, and the smaller one looks straight back up. Same body, same proportions, two scales. The bend is the whole sculpture — Acott gets the entire spine into it — and the distance between the two heads is about eight inches, which is close enough to hear and far enough to have taken years.
