Cinder Relic
A long horizontal wall piece, twenty-two inches across and barely three quarters of an inch deep — the shallowest thing Cristalli has here. Forged and mixed elements are laid along its length in a single register, dark and irregular. A relic is a fragment kept because of what it survived, and the piece is built to look recovered rather than made: nothing is symmetrical, nothing is finished smooth, and the depth is so slight it reads as something pressed flat.
